Please help with identify SF movie from the 1980s/1990s with a woman being put into a transparent iron maiden
I saw this movie when I was a kid in early 1990s, so it could be from end of 80 or beginning of 1990s. It was broadcasted in German TV and was German dubbed, but probably it was an American production.
I recall few scenes only:
some evil powers (empire) was chasing a young boy. They used a independent captain of a star ship. He was controlled by something that he got sticked to his forehead. It looked like a small round mold. This controlled him, made him a kind of brute, that couldn't probably speak and changed his face to a Neanderthal look.
once he captured the kid, but he takes somehow this mold from captains forehead (in one moment it was in hands of that kid) make him free. It was near the lake (I guess) and captain splashed the water with joy. Captain reminded me Donald Sutherland as Oddball from Kelly's Heroes. Also got beard and wearing some kind of aviator cap.
there was also a scene with naked woman trapped in something that looked like a plastic and transparent iron maiden. She was strangled in one part and other part was spiked with needles, with some plastic tubes. And that needle part was moving towards her. When needles were really close, camera just showed that through pipes was running blood.
Is anyone aware what movie title could be?
It looks like this might the The Humanoid from 1979.
Sometime in the distant future, the planet Metropolis (once known as Earth) is a peaceful utopia led by a leader called The Great Brother. His world is threatened by his brother Graal who has escaped from a prison satellite, stolen a warship and enlisted the help of a mad scientist named Dr. Kraspin. Kraspin has a plan to make an army of unstoppable supersoldiers he calls "Humanoids," but to mutate them he requires the powerful element Kapitron that is being kept at the Grovan Institute on Metropolis.
....
Once in possession of the Kapitron, Kraspin selects the perfect specimen to test his mutation on and targets a bearded, giant of a man named Golob. Kraspin forces Golob to crash his ship in a lake and Kraspin fires a small Kapitron missile which explodes turning Golob into a beardless, raging hulk with superhuman strength. Witnessing the horror is Golob's robot dog companion Kip, who sadly watches Kraspin capture and take his master away.
....
Meanwhile, Barbara is taken to Kraspin's laboratory and placed in a machine to extract her essence. Barbara is saved last minute when Nick and Golob burst in and free her from the machine. Kraspin and Agatha then attempt to flee to Graal's ship.
